Is this about using tools?

No... and yes...

Tools are just tools and there are just too many of them. This is exactly one of the problems I solve in this course. What use is technology if it does not support a productive way of working and managing tasks?

The course starts with focusing on your mindset, explaining time restraints and workflows. We then look at how to integrate productivity principles like Agile/Lean and Kanban workflows.

Only then will we combine this with the right tools with a focus on low cost, effective and easy to use applications.

I am not tech savvy. Will this work for me?

If you work in communications you already have the basic technology skills for this course.

This is not a coding course! We'll only work with easy to use tools with a very low learning curve.

If you can use the most common word processing, presentation and web applications which are common today you will have no problem applying the course to your work.

Who are you and what are your credentials?

I am a passionate public relations professional with more than 25 years experience; both in-house (ex-IBM/Van Marcke Trading Group) and in agency (ex-Porter Novelli/PR Media).

My love for "smart technology" in PR started very early on when I started using online forums & chat for my work in the late 90'ies.

It continued for 10 years at IBM where I worked on the very first "blogging guidelines" (now the company's social media guidelines), the global social intranet and was responsible to integrate "new media" in the communications function.

I am one of the early "PR Bloggers" and have used technology for public relations more than 15 years now.
